随着21世纪的新年钟声的8次响起，包括堪比人类登月计划的人类基因组计划和人们生活密切相关的水稻基因组计划在内的一系列基因组计划相继完成，后基因组时代正在悄然来临；生物芯片正在使个性化疾病治疗成为可能；基因治疗已经开始得到应用。这些生命科学的进展再次向世人宣示21世纪是生命科学的世纪。
　　春华秋实十几载岁月的丰碑记录了生命科学系的风雨成长历程，育人为本是我们的追求目标，我们信心坚定，通过锲而不舍的努力，我们的目标一定会实现。
　　放飞学生的理想是我们光荣的任务和办系宗旨，经过老师和同学的共同努力，我系的学生考取研究生的比率（40％左右）和就业率（达90％以上）在全校中一直名列前茅。相聚在商丘师范学院生命科学系，学生一定可以书写更多华章，创造更加灿烂的明天。虽然我们没有名牌大学的光环，但是我们一定会为学生提供更好的关怀和支持。虽然我们不能给学生提供超一流的教学设备，但是我们会帮他们遨游在更加广阔的知识海洋。虽然来到商丘师范学院生命科学系的新生会感到有些遗憾，但是我们的毕业生带走的只会是感动和骄傲。
　　我们也努力为教师创造良好的工作和成长环境，在生命科学系这个和谐的大家庭中老师们正围绕着教学和科研这两个主旋律挥洒着热情和爱心，通过协同攻关续写着一次次的辉煌。

Welcome to Department of Life Science at SNU

Life science, the study of life, truly represents the most challenging and exciting frontier in science. At the first several years of this new millennium a series of genome projects were finished or initiated including human genome project (HGP), Arabidopsis genome project, rice genome project, tomato genome project, potato genome project etc. Post genome era is coming without hesitation. Bio-chip is facilitating our research and aiming application in disease prevention and identification. Bioinformatics is developing fast for us to understand the huge data created by biological researchers. All these progresses are declaring again that 21 century belongs to life science.

Department of life science has an 18-year history; nowadays we offer bachelor programs on biology, biological technology and biological engineering. In the near future a new bachelor program- animal science will be offered as well. More than 470 students are studying and 53 teachers are working in our department.

We strive to offer the most intellectually stimulating environment possible for our teachers and students. Harmony department is our goal and scientific development is the base for our future. This web site will introduce you all aspects of our department.
